Learning to drive is one of those big life moments — whether you’re a teenager finally getting your license or an adult who’s been putting it off for years. At Drive2Go Driving School, we’ve built our entire program around making that experience feel less stressful and a lot more confidence-building. We’re a TDLR-approved, state-licensed driving school right here in Allen, Texas, and we’ve helped hundreds of students in Collin County get their license the right way.
Our school is conveniently located at 1201 E Main St #250, Allen, TX 75002 — easy to find whether you’re coming from the neighborhoods around Exchange Pkwy, US-75, or anywhere along the Allen corridor. We’re open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, so you can schedule lessons around school, work, or life in general.
Allen is a fast-growing city with a lot of young drivers hitting the roads every year. Between the busy intersections near Allen Premium Outlets, the traffic on McDermott Drive, and the school zones throughout Allen ISD, there’s plenty to learn before you feel fully comfortable behind the wheel. That’s exactly why having a qualified, patient instructor makes such a big difference.
Our instructors are fully licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and bring years of real-world teaching experience with them into every lesson. They know the Allen road system well — from the residential areas near Twin Creeks and Watters Crossing to the busier commercial stretches on Exchange Pkwy and US-75. That local knowledge means your lessons are actually relevant to where you’ll be driving.
We work with teens and adults equally, and we adjust our approach based on where each student is starting from. Some students walk in having never touched a steering wheel. Others just need a few sessions to iron out bad habits or get comfortable with freeway driving. We meet everyone where they are.
We know how much is riding on this for your teenager — and for you as a parent. Our teen driving program follows the Texas graduated driver license requirements and is designed to give young drivers a solid foundation, not just enough to pass a test. We cover everything from basic vehicle control to defensive driving habits that can save their life. Our instructors are calm, clear communicators who know how to work with nervous first-time drivers.
There’s no age limit on learning to drive, and there’s absolutely nothing to feel embarrassed about. We regularly work with adults who are getting their license for the first time, returning to driving after a long break, or simply wanting to feel more confident on Texas roads. Whether you need one session or several, we’ll build a plan that makes sense for your schedule and goals.
Drive2Go offers both teen driving tests and adult road tests. We also provide 3rd party road test services, which means you can complete your driving test with us rather than waiting for a DPS appointment. This can save you weeks of waiting and get your license in hand much faster. Our 3rd party road test examiners are licensed by TDLR and follow all state requirements.
Our defensive driving course is approved by the state of Texas and can be used to dismiss a traffic ticket or earn an insurance discount. It’s available for both teens and adults, and we offer it in a format that’s actually engaging — not just a box to check.
We offer both in-person driving lessons and online coursework to give students flexibility. The behind-the-wheel portion is always hands-on and in-person, but the classroom part of driver’s ed can be completed online at your own pace. This setup works especially well for busy teens with packed school schedules and adults who are juggling work and family.
Drive2Go Driving School is a TDLR-approved school and a fully state-approved driving school in Texas. That matters because it means our curriculum, our instructors, and our testing all meet the state’s standards. When you train with us, you can trust that your certificate, your test results, and your license are all legitimate and recognized everywhere in Texas.
The process is simple. Give us a call or send us a text at (972) 954-4963, or email us at info@drive2godrivingschool.com. We’ll talk through what you need, explain the options, and get you scheduled. There’s no pressure, no confusing packages, and no surprise fees. We’re a small, locally operated school, and we treat every student like they matter — because they do.
If you’re a parent trying to figure out where to start, we’re happy to walk you through Texas’s driver education requirements so you know exactly what your teen needs and in what order. If you’re an adult who just needs behind-the-wheel time, we can set that up quickly too.
While our school is based in Allen, we regularly serve students from neighboring communities throughout Collin County. Allen’s location along US-75 makes us accessible from Plano, McKinney, Fairview, and the surrounding areas. If you’re in Allen or nearby, Drive2Go is your closest TDLR-approved option for high-quality driver education.
Don’t put off getting your driver’s license any longer. Whether you’re a nervous teen, a busy adult, or somewhere in between, Drive2Go Driving School is here to help you get there — safely, confidently, and on your schedule.
